Charleston County Elections today announced the return of their “I Voted!” Sticker Design Contest, continuing a growing tradition of promoting civic engagement through art and creativity.
Now in its third year, the contest invites Charleston County students entering grades K–12 to submit original artwork for a chance to have their design featured on “I Voted” stickers distributed during early voting this fall.Contest Overview

- Open to all Charleston County residents entering grades K–12
- Submission Period:
- Opens: Monday, August 4, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
- Closes: Friday, September 12, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.

- Design Format:
- Artwork may be hand-drawn or created digitally. Full contest guidelines are available at CHSVotes.gov.
Selection Process
- Finalist Selection:
- A panel of Charleston County Elections staff will select five finalists from each grade group: ▪ Grades K–5
- Grades 6–8
- Grades 9–12
- Public Voting:
- Finalist designs will be posted on the Charleston County Elections Facebook page for public voting.
- Voting Period:
- Opens: Monday, September 22, at 12:00 p.m.
- Closes: Friday, September 26, at 12:00 p.m.
- How to Vote
- Community members can vote by reacting to their favorite designs on Facebook.
Awards
- Winning Artists Will Receive:
- Part of a limited-print run of their artwork on “I Voted” stickers used during early voting for municipal elections
- A BVRE prize pack, including:
- A $50 gift card to D’Allesandro’s Pizza
- A certificate of achievement
- Additional voter engagement materials and gear
This contest supports Charleston County’s efforts to educate future voters and promote creative participation in the electoral process.“Every year, we’re impressed by the passion, talent, and pride these young artists bring to their designs,” said Isaac Cramer, Executive Director of the Charleston County Board of Voter Registration and Elections. “This is one of our favorite ways to connect with students across the county and help lay the foundation for a lifetime of civic engagement.”
