The Charleston County Board of Voter Registration and Elections, also known as Charleston County Elections, has announced a candidate filing workshop for individuals interested in seeking elected office in 2026.
The workshop will be held at the election headquarters, located at 4340 Corporate Road in North Charleston, on Tuesday, March 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. The free event is open to anyone planning to file for office in Charleston County this year.
Workshop topics will include:
- The filing process for both partisan and nonpartisan offices
- Preparation steps and associated filing fees
- Key election laws candidates should understand
Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with election officials and will receive resources to share with constituents.
“Our workshop aims to support individuals eager to step up and serve their community. By providing critical information on the filing process and relevant election laws, we empower prospective candidates to participate in public service with confidence and clarity,” said Isaac Cramer, executive director of Charleston County Elections.
Advance registration is required to secure a spot.
