Greenville, SC — Brandon Brown, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, issued the following statement celebrating a series of Democratic victories across South Carolina in the November 2025 elections:
“Tonight, South Carolina made history. And we sent a message that we can win here. Every single local candidate I endorsed won their race. Together, we flipped six Republican seats, protected four Democratic incumbents, flipped the City of Georgetown back into Democratic control, and made history in Aiken, where voters elected the first Black city councilmember to serve a majority-white district.
These victories prove that grassroots organizing works. Every candidate we supported was outspent by their Republican opponent, but we didn’t back down. We organized, we knocked doors, and we built real relationships in communities that have too often been ignored.
This movement isn’t about one election — it’s about reshaping what’s possible in South Carolina. We’re proving that when we invest in people and meet voters where they are, we can overcome the odds and win up and down the ballot.
I’m proud of these candidates, proud of the volunteers and community leaders who powered their campaigns, and proud of the hope that’s spreading across our state. These wins are just the beginning. South Carolina is ready to rise.”
