Lt. Governor Pamela Evette recently announced the endorsement of Rep. Blake Sanders (District 9 – Anderson County), former mayor of West Pelzer and a practicing landscape architect.
Sanders was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives in 2025. He previously served as Mayor of West Pelzer from 2015 to 2023 and on the Town Council from 2011 to 2015. In addition to his public service, he is President of Studio Main, a planning and landscape architecture firm that works with communities on parks, streetscapes, and economic development.
“I’m proud to endorse Lt. Governor Pamela Evette because she has a strong, business-minded plan to manage South Carolina’s rapid growth the right way,” said Sanders. “As a business leader herself, she understands that growth must follow smart planning, not the other way around. She will create opportunity, strengthen our communities, protect private property rights, and preserve our natural resources for future generations.”
Evette welcomed Sanders’ endorsement, saying: “I’m thankful for Rep. Blake Sanders’ endorsement. Crafting a real blueprint to manage our state’s growth and fix our infrastructure challenges means bringing more experts and proven local leaders like Blake to the table.”
