Charleston County Community Development and Revitalization is seeking non-profit grant applicants to participate in the county’s Critical Home Repair Program. Funded through the American Rescue Plan Act, the program facilitates necessary repairs to make homes safe and livable for elderly homeowners.
Applicants must be non-profit entities with prior experience successfully managing the construction and financial operations of a home repair program serving the needs of low-to-moderate income households in the tri-county.
The program is not intended for projects requiring substantial rehabilitation.
Critical Home Repair contracts are expected to be awarded within 60 days of the posted Request for Qualification (RFQ) closing date, and home repairs should begin within 30 days of the contract award signing.
The RFQ application (#5969-25B) can be found here, along with additional instructions and qualifications. Applicants must register for a Bonfire account to access the application and can do so by clicking the “Register” button at the top right of the page.
The deadline to submit applications is 3 p.m., Friday, August 2, 2024.
