COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Women's Rights & Empowerment Network (WREN) today has unveiled a new brand identity that reflects the organization’s evolution into one of South Carolina’s leading voices for gender justice.
The refreshed brand reflects both how WREN has grown over the past 10 years and the future it is helping build: a South Carolina where every woman and girl has the opportunity, resources, and power to shape her own future.
While WREN's visual identity has evolved, its mission remains unchanged.
"Organizations evolve when they listen. Over the past decade, and especially in the recent years, we’ve listened to communities across South Carolina, responded to emerging challenges, and expanded our work in ways we couldn’t have imagined ten years ago." said Dr. Amalia Luxardo, Chief Executive Officer of WREN. "This new brand reflects that evolution. It honors where we’ve been while making space for where we’re going next."
Since its founding in 2016, WREN has become one of South Carolina's leading organizations advancing gender justice through advocacy, research, civic engagement, leadership development, and community education.
The organization's new identity comes during a year of significant momentum, including:
- Celebrating its10-year anniversary
- Expanding leadership development opportunities through the acquisition of South Carolina Women in Leadership
- Continuing statewide advocacy on issues affecting women, families, and communities
- Preparing to convene hundreds of advocates, leaders, organizers, and changemakers at WREN's 10-Year Anniversary Summit this October in Charleston
Designed to be bold, welcoming, and movement-centered, the refreshed brand reflects the organization's belief that lasting progress is built collectively.
"When I think about WREN’s next decade, I don’t think about our organization, I think about South Carolina. I think about the students, parents, businesses, leaders, advocates, lawmakers, and neighbors I’ve met who believe we can build something better," Dr. Luxardo said. "The challenges facing women and girls today are too complex for any one organization to solve alone. This brand is not about WREN standing out, it is about helping more people see where they belong in this movement. If we’re going to build a more equitable South Carolina, we must do it together."
Community members can explore WREN's new brand, learn more about its work, and register for the 10-Year Anniversary Summit at scwren.org.
