We Are Sharing Hope SC (SHSC), South Carolina’s federally designated Organ Procurement Organization (OPO), has been recognized as one of the 2025 Best Nonprofits to Work for in South Carolina. This national recognition highlights SHSC’s commitment to fostering a mission-driven workplace dedicated to saving and enhancing lives through organ, eye and tissue donation.
The organization is dedicated to honoring donor legacies and their families while providing community education and resources, ensuring every South Carolinian can make an informed decision when registering as a donor and sharing their wishes with loved ones.

The Best Nonprofit to Work For survey and awards program recognizes organizations with outstanding workplace cultures. The Nonprofit Times identified 50 organizations from across the nation for their excellence. The two-part survey assessed workplace policies, practices and demographics (25% of the score) and an employee survey on workplace excellence (75% of the score). The recognition highlights SHSC leadership’s dedication to fostering a strong, mission-driven culture focused on employee engagement, support and growth.
