Due to the expected low temperatures, the below locations will be opening their Warming Centers to provide shelter for men, women, and families without adequate heat and/or those experiencing homelessness on Thursday, Dec. 11:
Seacoast Church Summerville
- 301 E. 5th N. Street, Summerville
- Admission Start: 9 p.m.
The Gum Street entrance will be open for warm clothes, pets, and food at 7 p.m. Pets will be accepted at a mobile shelter next to the warming center and will be eligible for free vaccinations and physical exam and food. Guests must leave warming center each morning at 7 a.m.
On weekdays, Tri County Link will provide free transportation to and from this center along their standard route. Holy City Missions at Aldersgate UMC
- 1444 Remount Road, North Charleston
- Admission: 7 p.m.- 9 p.m.
CARTA will provide transportation to and from this Center: Rt 13, drop-off and pick up at Remount Rd/Allison Ave.
