As families across the Tri-County area prepare for summer and the upcoming school year, Trident United Way’s donor networks are stepping up to ensure that local students and families have the support they need.
From May through late July 2025, Young Leaders United and PULSE with support from Women United, three of Trident United Way’s leading donor networks are teaming up to host a Summer School Supply & Food Drive. This collaborative effort aims to collect critical items for students and families who may otherwise go without during the summer months.
Students at the following schools will benefit from this drive:
- River Oaks Middle School
- McKinney-Vento students in Berkeley County
- Chicora Elementary
- Cross High School
The drive will focus on school supplies, non-perishable food, hygiene items and clothing, ensuring that students are equipped for the school year ahead and families remain supported throughout the summer.
Community members can drop off donations at any South State Bank or Bank of South Carolina branch located in Berkeley, Charleston or Dorchester counties during regular business hours. Donations can also be made online through our Amazon Wishlists for food, clothing, and personal hygiene items or via Roonga.
