Trident United Way (TUW) is pleased to announce several significant promotions within the organization’s Finance Department. These advancements highlight the vital contributions of our finance professionals and a continued commitment to furthering the growth of our organization through our mission-focused work.
Andrea Boccucci has been promoted to Controller, where she will continue to lead the organization’s audit functions alongside overseeing financial reporting, compliance and internal controls to ensure the highest levels of accuracy in Trident United Way’s financial operations. Boccucci first joined TUW in 2011 as a Senior Accountant and was elevated to Director of Finance in 2022. In her new role, she will continue to ensure the highest standards of financial integrity. Her previous positions include Temporary Accountant at Robert Half, where she was placed at TUW before joining full-time, Staff Accountant at Wilson & Quirk, LLC, handling tax preparation and financial audits and Audit Associate at Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLP (now Forvis Mazars, LLP), where she focused on financial audits in the construction industry. Boccucci holds a B.S. in Accounting from Converse University.
Michael Kirchner advances to Director of Budget and Planning, where he will spearhead the organization’s budgeting and financial planning efforts. In this role, Kirchner will utilize his expertise to enhance resource allocation and ensure that Trident United Way’s financial strategies align with our strategic objectives. Kirchner, a veteran with a distinguished service record, joined TUW in 2022 as a Senior Accountant. Prior to joining TUW, he was a Staff Accountant in the automotive and equipment sectors. Kirchner holds a B.A.A. in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

She has been a wealth of information and historical knowledge for our organization for more than a decade, serving as my right hand and ensuring the highest standards of financial accuracy and integrity,” said Trident United Way Chief Financial Officer David Wasserman. “Similarly, Michael’s advancement to Director of Budget and Planning highlights his ability manage and track every dollar that comes into our organization. Michael’s talent for enhancing resource allocation and aligning our financial strategies with our strategic goals ensures that every financial decision is made with precision and integrity.”
Helen Stungurys has been promoted to Director of Gift Administration. In this role, Stungurys will manage the administration of donor gifts, ensuring that the organization’s processing systems function with the utmost efficiency and accuracy. Since joining TUW in 2019 as a Gift Administration and Accounts Payable Specialist, Stungurys has progressed to Gift Administration and Accounts Payable Manager. Her most recent promotion underscores her essential contributions to improving Trident United Way’s stewardship of donor contributions and her dedication to upholding the integrity of our donor management processes. Stungurys holds a B.A.A. in Accounting from Pace University and brings 17 years of experience in corporate, small business and nonprofit accounting. Additionally, she holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Mary Baldwin University and has 16 years of teaching experience across grades 3 through 8 in New Jersey, Virginia and South Carolina.
Ashley Morgan is now a Gift Administration Specialist, where she will manage donor information and process contributions with a focus on ensuring smooth and efficient gift administration. Her commitment to maintaining the highest standards in gift management will further enhance Trident United Way’s stewardship efforts and support the overall success of the organization. Morgan joined TUW in 2022 as an Accounting Specialist. Prior to joining TUW she was an Accounts Payable Specialist at Trident Pain Center. Morgan is currently pursuing a degree in Accounting at Trident Technical College.

In addition to these key promotions, Trident United Way’s Finance Department is also pleased to announce the addition of Shaq Jordan, who recently joined the organization as Accounts Payable Specialist.
