Beginning Tuesday, May 27, 2025, tree clearing operations will take place along Main Road as part of ongoing roadway maintenance and improvement efforts. The work is scheduled to occur both during the day and overnight, with potential impacts to traffic flow.
Work Schedule:
- Night Work (Tentative):
- Tuesday, May 27 | 7:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Clearing operations on the west side of Main Road, from Bees Ferry Road to US Highway 17
- Flagging operations will be in place to guide traffic safely through the work zone
- Day Work:
- Tuesday, May 27 – Thursday, May 29 | 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (daily)
- Crews will be clearing the east side of Main Road, from the Bojangles entrance to Hoggard Lane
- A lane shift will direct northbound traffic into the median to allow for work access, with cones separating the temporary travel lane from the opposite lanes.
Motorists could experience delays and are urged to use caution while traveling through the area. Signage and cones will be in place to safely direct traffic. Night work on Tuesday is tentative and will be confirmed following evening assessments.
