COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina ETV and Public Radio (SCETV) has been recognized with six prestigious South Carolina Broadcasters Association (SCBA) State Television and Radio (STAR) Awards. The announcement was made during the annual STAR Awards, hosted on August 3rd at the Medallion Conference Center in Columbia.
The network received three STAR Awards, including Victoria Hansen’s win for Radio Reporter of the Year— her sixth win in this category from the SCBA. The network also received three Awards of Merit, which recognizes the second-place winner in each category.

- Best Use of Digital Platforms Radio: SC Public Radio, Sean Birch, Linda Nunez, Alfred Turner
- Best News Coverage of the Murdaugh Trails Radio: SC Public Radio, Victoria Hansen
Award of Merit
- Convergence Coverage TV: Statewide 2024 Election Coverage, Aimee Crouch, Gavin Jackson, Maayan Schechter
- Best Music Show Radio: SC Public Radio, Sonatas and Soundscapes, Sean Birch and Bradley Fuller
- Radio Reporter of the Year: Thelisha Eaddy, SC Public Radio
The SCBA serves as the voice for South Carolina radio and television stations by providing educational resources for members, communicating essential information to the public and lobbying for legislation that supports broadcasters’ commitment to serving their communities.
Each year, the SCBA honors Palmetto State broadcasters at the STAR Awards. The STAR Awards recognize the exceptional accomplishments of South Carolina stations and their broadcast professionals.
