The Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina awarded 120 grants totaling $1,148,000 to nonprofit organizations across the state. The Foundation supports the work of organizations that meet the immediate needs of people experiencing poverty, break the cycle of poverty, and strive to change the systems that are considered driving forces of poverty. With a grantmaking process that is rooted in humility, transparency, equity, and trust, the Foundation is excited for the road ahead.
"We're thrilled to announce our Cycle 2 Grantees and admire each of these incredible organizations for their dedication to building a better South Carolina," said Donna Waites, President of Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina. “It’s a privilege to work alongside these organizations and the Foundation looks forward to helping make our state a brighter place for all.”
Macon Lovelace, the Chairman of the Board of Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina, added, “By dedicating ourselves to the common good and embracing creative ideas, South Carolina can become a place where everyone has what they need to succeed.
