The She Means Business Women’s Conference is returning to Charleston for its third year, and will be held on Tuesday, April 28th at Founders Hall.
The conference is a one-day event designed specifically for local female entrepreneurs in the Lowcountry to gather, connect, and find inspiration from each other.
This year's speakers include:
- Katie Stagliano – Founder of Katie’s Krops, a local mother/daughter duo non-profit based in Summerville, SC
- Heather Valeri – CEO & Founder of Meridian Business Advisors
- Ashley Daly – Founder of OMG Candy Stores, a local family owned candy shop with locations in Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA
- Keri Seay – Owner of Keri Seay Events, a Charleston-based event planning company, also a 2025 She Shines Award winner
- Buffi Whetsell – Owner of Charleston Dance Center, a local family owned dance studio
- Jessica Brewer – President and CEO of SwellSpace
The event is hosted by Stephanie Postell, a Charleston native and owner of local heating and cooling company Anchor Heating and Air.
Postell said she started She Means Business because she is passionate about encouraging more female owned start-ups in the community, and providing women with the right tools, networking, and community support required to do so.
Postell was named the Make-A-Wish Lowcountry "Woman of the Year" in 2025 after raising nearly $34,000, as well as being honored as a W.I.S.H. (Women Inspiring Strength & Hope) Society honoree. She was also recently nominated an SCBIZ “Women of Influence” honoree, and is two-time She Shines Award winner.
