The Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System will host its annual Veterans Day Parade on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m. in downtown Charleston. The event will feature historic military vehicles, motorcycle groups and floats from veterans service organizations.
The parade route, starting at Concord and Market Streets and ending at Broad Street near Colonial Lake, will be closed to traffic from 12:50 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Key Times
- 11:00 a.m.: Staging begins on Concord & Pritchard St. (between N. Market and Hazel)
- 12:50 p.m.: Full route closure
- 1:00 p.m.: Parade begins, including a scheduled flyover
- 2:30 p.m.: Parade ends
- 3:00 p.m.: Full route reopens
Access to the South of Broad neighborhood will be limited during the parade. Officers will be stationed along the route to assist with traffic flow and neighborhood access.
