Charleston County Public Works officials will deliver a quarterly construction update on the Palmetto Commerce Interchange project at a public meeting set for Wednesday, March 19 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Northwoods Park Community Center located at 8348 Greenridge Road in North Charleston.
During the meeting, officials will give an overview of the project, provide an update on recent progress, and discuss what’s scheduled to be completed in the next three months. Following their presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and speak with the project team directly.
The Palmetto Commerce Interchange project will reduce congestion at surrounding intersections, offer additional travel routes, provide access to existing and planned developments, and improve overall safety and mobility in the area intersecting Interstate 26.
Quarterly project update meetings will be held until construction is completed. Charleston County expects to reach substantial completion in early 2026.
