Charleston County Public Works officials will deliver their quarterly Palmetto Commerce Interchange construction update during a public meeting set for 6 p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at the Northwoods Gym and Community Center, located at 8348 Greenridge Road in North Charleston.
During the meeting, the project team will provide an overview of the project, an update on its progress, and a look ahead at what’s scheduled to be completed in the coming months. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and speak directly with members of the project team.
Located in the Interstate 26 corridor between US 78 (University Boulevard) and Ashley Phosphate Road, the Palmetto Commerce Interchange project will reduce travel times, improve access options, increase traffic mobility in the I-26/Ashley Phosphate Road area, and allow for more efficient commutes.
Construction began August 1, 2023, and substantial completion is anticipated in early 2026.
Charleston County will continue to deliver quarterly updates until construction is completed.
