Charleston County will begin pavement preservation treatments next week on several roadways in West Ashley and McClellanville. These treatments, funded by the Transportation Sales Tax program, help protect recently resurfaced roads from sun and water damage, extending pavement life and maximizing long-term performance.
Work is scheduled as follows:
West Ashley
Monday, May 4 – Tuesday, May 5
- Charlie Hall Boulevard
- Grande Oaks Boulevard
McClellanville
Wednesday, May 6
- N. Pinckney Street
- Baker Street
- Lofton Court
- Morrison Court
- Morrison Street
Motorists should expect minimal delays, though brief, temporary lane closures will be necessary as crews apply the treatment and allow it to properly cure. Traffic control personnel will be on site to safely guide drivers through the work zones.
Work is weather-dependent, and schedules may shift as needed.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution and follow posted signage when traveling through active work areas.
