Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum invites the community to come aboard the USS Yorktown this Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, to honor and celebrate those who have served our nation. The day will feature opportunities for reflection, gratitude and giving back.
Whether you’re a veteran, a family member or a supporter, Veterans Day at Patriots Point offers a meaningful opportunity to come together in tribute and remembrance. Visitors are encouraged to explore the museum’s historic ships, connect with local veterans and take part in a day dedicated to honoring the heroes who have safeguarded our freedom.
Complimentary Admission
In recognition of their service and sacrifice, all U.S. military veterans, active-duty personnel—including members of the National Guard and Coast Guard—and their immediate family members will receive free admission to Patriots Point on Veterans Day.
Guests who donate to the museum’s Veterans Day Donation Drive supporting Operation Homefront will receive a $3 voucher toward general museum admission.
Veterans Day Donation Drive
This year, Patriots Point is partnering with Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit organization that helps build strong, stable and secure military families through financial assistance, housing and supportive programs. Since 2002, Operation Homefront has helped thousands of service members and veterans overcome short-term challenges and thrive in their communities.
Visitors and neighbors are invited to contribute to the drive, with all donations directly supporting veterans and military families in need. Operation Homefront staff will be onsite at Patriots Point to collect contributions and share more about their mission.
Donation Items Needed:
- Nonperishable food items (canned goods, soups, beans, pasta, rice, etc.)
- Small children’s toys
Donations can be dropped off at the museum entrance during event hours, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025.
