Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum is proud to announce its participation in the 2026 Blue Star Museums program, a nationwide initiative that extends free museum admission to eligible military families through Labor Day, September 7, 2026.
As one of the nation’s premier naval and maritime museums, Patriots Point invites military families to experience American history firsthand aboard the historic USS Yorktown and USS Laffey, explore the immersive Vietnam Experience Exhibit, visit the Medal of Honor Museum at Patriots Point, and discover the inspiring stories of those who have served our nation.
“Patriots Point exists to preserve and share the stories of service, sacrifice and leadership that have shaped our nation,” said Allison Hunt, Executive Director of Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum. “We are honored to participate in the Blue Star Museums program and provide military families with opportunities to connect with history, spend time together and experience the legacy of those who have served before them.”
Patriots Point proudly offers free admission year-round to active-duty military personnel with valid military identification. Through participation in the Blue Star Museums program, active-duty service members can also receive complimentary admission for up to five family members during the summer program period, allowing military families to experience the museum together at no cost through Labor Day, September 7, 2026.
Eligible visitors may receive free admission by presenting a valid military identification card at the museum ticket office. Qualifying service groups include members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Space Force, as well as National Guard, Reserves, NOAA Commissioned Corps and U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps personnel.
