The City of Charleston, in coordination with the South Carolina Department of Transportation and contractor MasTec Civil, will close U.S. 17 northbound overnight Wednesday for construction on the Ashley River Crossing bridge.
The closure will begin at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, and continue until 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24.
The closure will begin near Albemarle Road and continue approximately half a mile north to near the exit ramp to Lockwood Drive.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution while traveling through the work zone.
