The City of Charleston, in collaboration with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and MasTec-Civil, will implement nighttime lane closures for construction on the Ashley River Crossing bridge.
MasTec will close northbound U.S. 17 beginning near the intersection of Albemarle Road, continuing approximately 0.5 miles north and ending near the Lockwood Boulevard exit ramp from 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, until 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2026.
Motorists are urged to use extreme caution when traveling through the work zone.
