MUSC Day, a statewide day of giving set for Tuesday, May 5, will feature matching gifts and challenges that help to maximize the impact of donations made at muscday.org. A central focus of MUSC Day is a $250 million initiative to build South Carolina's first comprehensive cancer hospital. This effort will serve as the cornerstone of MUSC Health’s statewide cancer ecosystem, bringing together advanced clinical services; groundbreaking research; and compassionate, patient-centered care into a single, integrated destination.
The new hospital is designed to serve patients and families from diagnosis through treatment, recovery and survivorship, offering inpatient and outpatient oncology services, precision medicine, advanced diagnostics, cellular therapies and early-phase clinical trials. The goal: ensuring that more people can receive specialized cancer care in South Carolina.
Donors may also choose to support scholarships that reduce student debt for future health care providers, pediatric and family care at the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital, research addressing the state's most complex health challenges or other areas across MUSC.
Matching gifts and challenges will be available online while funds last. All contributions are made through the MUSC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting MUSC since 1966.
