Motley Rice says their “Project GO!” community event was a success. Project Go is an annual outreach program that allows firm employees to donate a workday volunteering for organizations and nonprofit groups in need throughout the community.
Some of the spaces they are working at this year include:
Landmark for Families: Formerly known as Carolina Youth Development Center
- Volunteers will organize, sort, and repackage donation inventory to ensure the Store House is clean and tidy as well as spend time assisting with campus maintenance, cleaning gutters, and other physically demanding tasks.
- On-site helpers will work at Colonial Lake Park. Work will include lots of clean out- removing older plants and preparing the space for new plants.
- Volunteers will organize products to be delivered to people impacted by the storms in the Lowcountry.
Charlestown Landing Animal Forest (The Zoo)
- On-site helpers will be working primarily outside assisting with trails that need trimming, paddock siding that needs to be put up, privacy fencing that needs to be added, construction of hay shed, building stacking barrels for the goats, marsh clean up, and land to be cleared for additional exhibits.
