Middleton Made Knives, the acclaimed cutlery brand founded by Quintin Middleton, today announced that its first brick-and-mortar store will be located in Storehouse 9 at Navy Yard Charleston. The shop will offer a range of hand-crafted knives and knife sharpening services. The 581-square-foot space, projected to open in October 2024, marks a significant milestone as the first African American-owned knife shop in South Carolina.
“Opening the first African-American owned knife store in South Carolina marks a pivotal moment for Middleton Made Knives”, said Middleton. “This brick-and-mortar location is more than just a store; it's the next chapter in our journey and I am excited to connect with the community in new and meaningful ways."
The new Middleton Made Knives location will feature a curated selection of artisan cutlery, each piece meticulously crafted by Middleton himself in his Saint Stephens workshop. In addition to showcasing his renowned knives, the store will offer knife sharpening services, catering to both culinary enthusiasts and professional chefs. Customers will have the opportunity to engage directly with Middleton and his team, gaining insight into the intricate process of knife-making and sharpening.
