Charleston Collegiate School (CCS) is thrilled to announce that $268,000 was raised in support of student scholarships during the 10th Annual McNair Invitational hosted at The Golf Club at Briar’s Creek on February 17, 2026.
The total includes $168,000 generously contributed by Briar’s Creek benefactors and supporters, with more than 35 club members participating in this year’s effort. Their impact was amplified by a $100,000 matching gift from The Robert and Janice McNair Foundation, bringing the grand total to $268,000 for CCS’s Scholarship Fund.
To date, The McNair Golf Tournament at Briar’s Creek has raised just over $4 million in support of student scholars at CCS, creating life-changing opportunities for families across the Lowcountry.
“The generosity of the Briar’s Creek community is truly transformational for our students and families,” said Andy Gyves, Head of School at Charleston Collegiate School. “These scholarship funds open doors for talented, hardworking young people to experience a Charleston Collegiate education. Because of this partnership, we are able to expand access, strengthen our school community, and ensure that deserving students have the opportunity to thrive. We are deeply grateful for the continued investment in our mission and in the bright futures of our scholars.”
“The McNair Invitational reflects the very best of what community partnership can accomplish,” said Clint Wood, CCM, CCE, General Manager of The Golf Club at Briar’s Creek. “Our members believe strongly in supporting educational opportunities that make a meaningful difference, and Charleston Collegiate School’s Scholarship Fund does exactly that. It is inspiring to see Briar’s Creek members come together year after year to invest in local students and families. We are proud to continue this tradition and to play a role in expanding access to exceptional education in our community.”
The generosity of Briar’s Creek members helped fund 65 Financial Aid and Scholarship Awards for CCS students in 2025. School leaders are grateful for the continued partnership and are excited to see the impact of 2026 gifts in action in the coming school year as CCS continues its mission of delivering innovative, student-centered education on Johns Island.
