Atlanta, GA - Maynard Nexsen, a full-service law firm with 31 offices nationwide, welcomes Leo Kogan to its Atlanta location. He joins the firm’s seasoned group of attorneys with extensive experience across all facets of litigation and regulatory matters.
Leo represents a diverse range of clients, including national brokerage firms, financial institutions, and corporations, with a focus on Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitration of intra-industry disputes and customer claims, as well as complex commercial litigation before federal and state courts.
He has served as lead counsel in numerous FINRA arbitrations through to award, navigating complex disputes involving broker compensation, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition, Form U5 expungement and defamation claims. Leo has handled customer claims involving fraud, unsuitability, and breach of fiduciary duty in connection with a wide variety of financial products. He also represents firms in internal and regulatory investigations and advises on complex legal and compliance matters.

Leo derives his knowledge of the financial services sector through his experience in private practice at a global law firm, as well as his tenure as a Director in the litigation department of a major broker-dealer. This dual perspective offers client-side insights paired with sophisticated advocacy.
A University of Georgia graduate (B.A.), Leo earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law.
