Lowcountry Youth Services (LYS) is excited to announce its inaugural Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) event, taking place on December 14th from 11 AM to 1 PM. This event is proudly sponsored by the Emerging Technology Institute (ETI) from North Carolina, in collaboration with the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), Charleston.
The LYS STEM Event aims to inspire and engage young minds through hands-on engineering activities at various interactive stations. Participants will have the unique opportunity to explore the fascinating world of STEM and learn about the innovative pathways offered by ETI and NIWC. This event is designed to spark curiosity and provide valuable insights into potential careers in naval STEM fields.
"We are thrilled to partner with ETI and NIWC to bring this exciting event to our community," said ReZsaun Lewis, Executive Director at Lowcountry Youth Services. "Our goal is to provide a fun and educational experience that will inspire the next generation of engineers, scientists, and technologists."
Tickets for this event are sold out, and we are expecting over 120 youth from the Lowcountry to participate. In addition to the engaging activities, attendees will enjoy complimentary food.
