Make-A-Wish® South Carolina proudly recognized its 2025 class of Lowcountry W.I.S.H. Society honorees during A Toast to Wishes, an awards brunch held at The Harbour Club at WestEdge. This year’s honorees raised nearly $125,000, setting a new Lowcountry record and helping to grant transformational wishes for children across South Carolina battling critical illnesses.
The W.I.S.H. Society, which stands for Women Inspiring Strength and Hope, honors women leaders who use their time, talents, and networks to raise funds and awareness for Make-A-Wish South Carolina. The event featured a moving message from Hart Peary, a wish mom, W.I.S.H. Society alum, and current Make-A-Wish South Carolina board member, who shared the joyful story of her son Charlie’s wish—an unforgettable celebration of friendship called Charliepalooza.
Guests also heard an inspiring keynote address from Sarah Irvin, founder of Quick Tan Sunless and the EmpowHER Women’s Conference, who spoke about resilience, reinvention, and the importance of showing up for others with purpose.
“The W.I.S.H. Society is proof that giving back is powerful,” added Misty Farmer, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish South Carolina. “When we work together, we move closer to our vision of granting the wish of every eligible child in South Carolina.”
Make-A-Wish South Carolina grants wishes to children with critical illnesses, offering emotional strength, comfort, and renewed joy during the most difficult times. A wish can be a turning point in a child’s treatment and remind entire families that brighter days are ahead.
