Lou Hammond Group is strengthening its Charleston presence with a wave of new hires across leadership, creative and account roles, building on the firm’s continued growth since opening its local office in 2015.
Taylor Engert recently joined the team as vice president, bringing more than a decade of New York agency experience leading public relations and integrated communications efforts for premier travel, hospitality and lifestyle brands. Throughout her career, she has partnered with a diverse roster of global and domestic clients, developing strategic programs that drive awareness, engagement and brand visibility. She has led global press trips, launched national campaigns, shaped brand narratives, and secured coverage across top-tier media outlets.
In addition to Engert, the agency also welcomes Creative Director Amy Barresi, account coordinators Kate Zarnik and Gillian Beville, and Accounting Manager Brian McInvale.
- Amy Barresi brings a strong background in creative services, graphic design and real estate. As creative director, she plays a key role in shaping the company’s visual identity and ensuring consistency across materials.
- Kate Zarnik brings a talent for relationship-building and a passion for storytelling. A North Carolina native, she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in public relations from Auburn University’s College of Liberal Arts. Prior to joining Lou Hammond Group, she gained experience across multiple industries, including electric vehicle charging, tourism and apparel, and supported trade show planning, event coordination and social media content creation.
- Gillian Beville brings a well-rounded background in storytelling, media relations and strategic communication. A graduate of the College of Charleston, she holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with a marketing minor. Through internships and hands-on roles, she has built experience in public relations, event planning, philanthropy and retail.
- Brian McInvale is a 20-year U.S. Navy veteran who recently transitioned into accounting. He served as accounting and finance manager at SciRegs International Inc. in Columbia, Maryland, where he provided financial planning and oversight for company operations, developed internal accounting standard operating procedures, and advised on financial and accounting matters, including global client invoicing and tax-related considerations.
