Kids Teeth announces the celebration of its 45th anniversary, marking over four decades of pediatric dental care in the Lowcountry. Founded by Dr. Jan Wrobleski in 1979, the practice remains committed to the community, continuing its annual holiday stocking drive for Windwood Family Services, a nonprofit organization that provides help, hope, and healing to children and families affected by abuse, neglect, or trauma through residential programs and community services.
This year marks Kids Teeth’s 15th year providing stockings for the children at Windwood, and in honor of its 45th anniversary, the pediatric dental practice is taking this tradition to the next level, announcing that the team will hand-sew stockings after hours. Additionally, Kids Teeth is expanding the tradition by inviting the community to participate in supporting Windwood Family Services. This year, the team aims to fill enough hand-sewn stockings with gifts to bring holiday joy to all the children at Windwood Family Services.
Kids Teeth is accepting donations from the community, guided by Windwood Family Services’ needs. The team has curated an Amazon wish list featuring items like journals, puzzles, fidget toys, and coloring books—tools that are used in therapeutic programs to help them develop positive coping skills.
"We're honored to celebrate 45 years of Kids Teeth by continuing to serve the community we love," said Dr. Mike Myers. "Dr. Jan instilled in us the importance of giving back, and we are proud to carry on his legacy by supporting local organizations like Windwood Farms. It's our way of showing gratitude to the families who have supported us for decades, and it aligns with our core belief that Mt. Pleasant is not just where we work, but where we thrive together."
Join the Kids Teeth 2024 Holiday Stocking Drive
The Kids Teeth team invites the community to be a part of this year's holiday stocking drive by purchasing items from the Windwood Farms Amazon wish list. Donations will be accepted until December 9, 2024. All items purchased from the wish list will be sent to the Kids Teeth office, where the team will assemble the stockings in time for the holiday season.

Kids Teeth has a rich history of dedication to pediatric dental care in the Lowcountry, beginning with its establishment as Dr. Jan’s Dentistry for Children and Infants in 1979. In 1983, Ms. Belinda joined the team, becoming the only original staff member still with the practice today. Dr. Jan was proactive in advocating for community health, investigating fluoride levels in Mt. Pleasant's water in 1990 due to rising fluorosis cases among his patients. The practice has continually evolved, with Dr. Will and Dr. Mike joining the team in 2004 and the opening of the Park West location in 2006. Kids Teeth has also garnered community recognition, winning the Best Pediatric Dentist Award from Moultrie News for 16 consecutive years. After Dr. Jan’s retirement in 2015, the practice honored his legacy by celebrating its 40th anniversary with a memorable birthday party in 2019. In 2022, the Town of Mt. Pleasant declared February 8 as Dr. Jan Day in recognition of his contributions. In September 2024, Dr. Frances joined the team to continue the tradition of compassionate pediatric dental care.
“Since we opened our doors in 1979, Kids Teeth has stayed locally and privately owned, and that’s what really lets us keep the high standard of care and community involvement we were founded on," said Dr. Will. "Being privately owned gives us the freedom to focus on what matters most—our patients and giving back. For over 40 years, we’ve stayed true to those values, making sure we can provide the same personal attention and support for our community as we did when we first started.”
