BONNEAU, S.C. – As the New Year begins, women from across the Lowcountry are invited to pause, reflect, and reconnect at a faith-centered gathering on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Oak Grove Family Life Worship Center, located at 2346 N. Hwy. 17A in Bonneau.
The event, Châyâh (pronounced khaw-yaw), takes its name from the Hebrew word meaning “restore to life.” Organizers say the gathering is designed to awaken faith, revitalize the spirit, and help women step confidently into God’s purpose at the start of a new year.
This year’s program centers on the theme “Kingdom Culture – What Is It?” exploring how aligning with kingdom-minded principles can bring clarity, unity, and wholeness to everyday life. Attendees can expect a welcoming atmosphere filled with teaching, live worship music, food, fellowship, and meaningful connection.
“Going into a new year, many women are reflecting on where they are in their faith and where God is calling them next,” said Kristina Wrenn, a Berkeley County resident and Nashville recording artist who will lead worship. “This is a season of reset and renewal, and this gathering creates space for women to be refreshed and refocused spiritually.”
The event features Susie Walther, founder and president of The Well Training and Discipleship Ministry, as the special guest speaker. Walther has spent three decades discipling women and building interdenominational community across the United States and abroad.
“Any opportunity to mature in our faith is timely,” Walther said. “But gathering with believers outside of our own church communities is especially important in a divided world. Events like this allow us to actively live out the unity we talk about.”
This year marks the second year of the event. After witnessing the impact of last year’s gathering, event organizers felt led to host it again.
“Last year, we saw women come hungry for more of God and leave encouraged and strengthened,” Wrenn said. “Because of that response, we wanted to do this again in hopes that even more women will grow in their faith and step boldly into what God has for them.”
Walther hopes women leave awakened and encouraged.
“Our lives are meant to reflect the Kingdom of God,” she said. “My prayer is that women leave renewed, empowered, and ready to live out their faith with purpose.”
The event is interdenominational, intergenerational, and multi-cultural, with all denominations welcome. A $35 donation per person is requested, with an option to sponsor a table of six for $225, which includes special sponsor perks.
