Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is welcoming Huntington Bank to its tenant lineup this fall. The new branch, located in the former TGI Fridays location at 1835 North Highway 17, will mark Huntington’s seventh full-service branch in South Carolina and fifth in the state’s Lowcountry.
“We’re pleased to welcome Huntington Bank as the newest addition to Towne Centre,” said Kathi Herrmann, marketing director of Mount Pleasant Towne Centre. “We’re always looking to bring businesses that complement the needs of our community, and Huntington adds another valuable service to our mix of tenants.”
The Towne Centre location will be Huntington’s second full-service branch in the East Cooper market, following the opening of its North Mount Pleasant branch at 3149 Highway 17 in August of this year. Features of the new branch in Towne Centre include a Wealth Hub conveniently located in the building that will offer personalized wealth management and comprehensive financial services.
The new branch is part of Huntington’s previously announced plans to open approximately 55 branches across the Carolinas including locations in the greater Charleston area. Huntington opened its first full-service branch in Charleston on King Street last year, followed by a Summerville location this past July. Earlier this month, Huntington opened its West Ashley branch at 901 Savannah Highway, in Charleston.
