On Friday, Aug. 1, Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV), a vacation ownership and experiences company, will help Charleston Habitat for Humanity build a new, affordable home for a local mother, Leslie, and her two children, Amir and Kamryn. HGV will also be donating $5,000 to further Charleston Habitat for Humanity’s mission in the local community.
Leslie is a devoted single mother raising her children while working hard to create a better life for her them. For her, home ownership represents more than just a roof over their heads—it means long-term stability, security, and a place for her children to grow and thrive. She dreams of giving her family a permanent sense of belonging and peace of mind, something they’ve never truly had.
Out of dozens of applicants, Leslie was selected to partner with Charleston Habitat for Humanity—a moment she describes as life-changing. Volunteering at the ReStore (731 Meeting Street) made her feel like part of a second family, and she said she is deeply grateful for the opportunity to build a safe, affordable home.
