Harbour Club at WestEdge is excited to share the newest class of Future Leaders Scholarship Program recipients. Founded in 2021 by a member of Harbour Club’s Board of Governors, the Future Leaders Scholarship Program supports young professionals and leaders under 40 who are making a positive impact within the Charleston community and strengthens the Club’s role as a change agent and incubator for the Charleston Metro area.
Since its founding, the program has provided the initiation fee for membership to more than 60 young executives, providing opportunities to engage, lead and make an impact at Harbour Club. Many serve on committees including the Board of Governors and the Executive Committee. This year’s group of 20 includes impressive men and women making a difference in a range of communities, like Brooke Chhina (VP of Corporate Philanthropy for Trident United Way), Marcedes K. Smith (Magistrate Judge with Ross & Cristaldi, LLC), Kendal Marie (Founder and Designer, Bushel of Prints) and more (full list of recipients HERE).
Scholarship recipients receive a full membership opportunity including:
- Networking and social opportunities with a broad Membership of over 2,000 local professionals and industry experts
- Engagement with other young professionals through the Club’s Young Executive (YEX) Committee events and professional development programming
- Mentoring opportunities as a mentor or mentee
- Donor-sponsored one-time initiation fees
- Access to private and coworking spaces within the Club
- Club committee leadership opportunities
- Access to all incentives, opportunities and activities available to Harbour Club at WestEdge Members
