Florence Crittenton Programs (FCP) is proud to announce the appointment of Harriet O’Malley (pictured), Attorney at Womble Bond Dickinson, to its Board of Directors. Harriet brings a wealth of experience in both legal and governance roles, as well as a strong connection to the local community.
Harriet was introduced to the FCP Governance Committee by Michelle Condon, former board member and Director of Public Service and Pro Bono at the Charleston School of Law. With a legal practice focused on employment issues, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful termination, Harriet’s background will be an invaluable asset, particularly in filling a key role on the organization’s Risk Committee.
In addition to her legal experience, Harriet’s career path includes time as an Emmy Award-winning broadcast news producer, providing her with deep insight into messaging and media relations. Her connections within the media industry and a network of philanthropists further enhance her ability to contribute to FCP’s mission of supporting women, children, and families across South Carolina.
"Harriet’s expertise and community connections will play a vital role in strengthening our governance structure and expanding our reach," said the Governance Committee. "Her professional experience, passion for our cause, and ability to engage key stakeholders will help us continue to make a difference."
Harriet is excited to join the Board and looks forward to advancing FCP's mission. "I am honored to work with such a talented group of community members who are committed to ensuring that FCP continues to grow and make a positive difference for young women across South Carolina."
