The Charleston-based reality TV show Southern Charm was mentioned in the newly released batch of Jeffrey Epstein files made public by the U.S. Department of Justice on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026.
Among the more than 3 million documents and photographs released was a 2014 email from an unidentified sender to Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender who died by suicide in 2019, that referenced the cast of the show.
In the email, the sender wrote that they had dinner with Whitney Sudler-Smith, an executive producer of the show, and “the cast.” No cast members were named. The show premiered its first season on Bravo approximately one month before the email was sent.
You can read the e-mail here or see the screenshot below.
It is important to note that being mentioned in the Epstein files does not imply that an individual committed a crime or engaged in wrongdoing.
The email was disclosed under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which was enacted following months of public and political pressure and requires the federal government to release records related to the late financier.
