COLUMBIA, S.C. - Drew Clawson (pictured) of Kinard Consulting will join the Government Solutions Team at Maynard Nexsen on December 30.
Drew joined Kinard Consulting, LLC in 2016. Since taking over the firm in 2019, he has worked with clients including pharmaceuticals, HOA management, medical associations, recycling, broadband, mortgage lending and state regulatory issues.
As a contract lobbyist and consultant, Drew has experience monitoring, developing, and implementing legislation. He has also assisted in building statewide grassroots programs and strategies for his clients.
“Drew brings a wealth of legislative knowledge and a dynamic group of clients to the firm,” said Bob Coble, Shareholder at Maynard Nexsen. “Our team knows what it takes to successfully navigate legislative and regulatory issues for our clients, and Drew’s background makes him an excellent addition to the team.”
Drew graduated from Newberry College with a B.A., majoring in Sociology. While in college, he paged for the South Carolina House of Representatives and worked for Pope & Hudgens, LLC in Newberry, S.C.

Drew currently sits on the American Diabetes Association Regional Advocacy Committee and on the Board of Closing the Gap in Healthcare. He resides in Columbia with his wife, Lauren, and their son, Wooten.
