Dorchester Habitat for Humanity is proud to announce that Michael Tibayan, along with Maria and their two daughters, will become the homeowners of House 78. This milestone brings them one step closer to realizing their dream of homeownership through hard work and dedication.
Tibayan, a full-time mechanic technician at Boeing and a graphic designer, has been tirelessly working toward this goal. The Tibayan family is particularly excited to provide a stable, permanent home for their daughters, with the space needed to support their family.
"We are so proud of Michael and his family for their commitment to the Habitat program and their journey toward homeownership," said Jaye Elliott, CEO and President of Dorchester Habitat for Humanity. "Michael’s determination and love for his family are an inspiration. This home will not only provide a safe and secure place for them to grow but also symbolizes hope for a brighter future."
In reflecting on this opportunity, Tibayan shared, "This home means everything to us. It’s a chance to give our daughters the space and stability they need, and we’re so grateful to Habitat for helping make that possible. We couldn’t have done it without their support and the amazing community around us."
Dorchester Habitat for Humanity is calling on the community to help support future homeowners like Michael by volunteering, donating, or participating in upcoming events. One major way to get involved is through the 2024 Golf Classic presented by 35 North Painting & Drywall, which will take place at Wescott Golf Club on Friday, October 18.
