Out of an abundance of caution following the loss of air conditioning facility-wide, all 32 inpatients receiving care at Colleton Medical Center are being transferred to their sister HCA Healthcare facilities in the area; Trident Medical Center, Summerville Medical Center, and Live Oak Mental Health and Wellness.
Colleton Medical Center’s ER remains open for walk-in emergency care needs.
All hospital outpatient services scheduled for Monday, July 15 are being rescheduled.
New AC units are on the way and Colleton Medical Center will return to full operations when they can ensure the comfort of their patients, their families, and their team members.
