The City of Charleston, in collaboration with the Salvation Army, will open a warming center tonight (Monday, Nov. 10, 2025) to support residents during the evening’s freezing temperatures. The warming center will be located at the Salvation Army in West Ashley at 2135 Ashley River Road.
Doors will open at 8 p.m. this evening. All guests can stay overnight until 7 a.m. when the temperatures return to safe levels.
Guests can take CARTA buses to the warming center from the Peninsula at 63 Mary Street. until 8 p.m. The public will be notified if additional routes are added.
Food, water, and cots will be provided. Maximum capacity is 50 people.
