On Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, the city of Charleston will hold a public meeting to present preliminary information and gather feedback on the proposed site for new city office buildings at 1660 and 1662 Ingram Road in West Ashley. Residents will be able to review initial concepts, ask questions and share input on design priorities and community needs.
The meeting will run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Founders Hall at the Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site, 1500 Old Towne Road. The event is free to attend, and registration is strongly encouraged. RSVP via Eventbrite.
City officials say locating new administrative offices in West Ashley is intended to bring services closer to residents and reduce cross-town commuting for many city employees who live in the area.
To ensure robust public input, the city is hosting this meeting and will offer additional opportunities for feedback as the project advances.
For those unable to attend, the city will send meeting materials to those who register through Eventbrite. More information is available at charleston-sc.gov.
