Weather Forecast
Snow has ceased; however, temperatures are expected to remain low, allowing little time for snow and ice to melt. Refreezing may occur overnight, creating hazardous conditions, including black ice. Temperatures and wind chills are expected to remain below freezing.
Roads
City crews have been actively salting roadways and will continue these efforts. With freezing temperatures expected overnight, roadways may refreeze and become dangerous. Residents are encouraged to stay off the roads if possible.
CARTA
CARTA plans to resume service by 1:00 p.m. and will continue to assess conditions later today and into the night to determine any further operational impacts.
Warming Centers
Warming centers will continue operating to provide a safe, temporary place to warm up. Details are listed below:
Shaw Community CenterAddress: 20 Mary Street, Charleston, SC 29403Duration: The center will close at 7:00 a.m. Monday morning, with the potential to extend operations into Wednesday depending on conditions. Hope Center will open during the day with normal hours. Shaw Community Center will reopen at 7:00 p.m. Monday.

Donations
Donations to support individuals utilizing the Shaw Community Center warming center may be made directly at the center today or tomorrow between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
