The City of Charleston’s Office of Small Business Enterprises today celebrated the grand opening of Palmetto Row Collectives, a new retail business incubator located at 395-C King Street.
City officials, community partners, and local stakeholders gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the launch of the initiative, which is designed to support small businesses by providing affordable retail space and access to critical business development resources in the heart of Charleston’s downtown shopping district.
Palmetto Row Collectives serves as a cornerstone of the City’s Small Business Enterprise and Entrepreneur Resource Center and features five boutique-style retail suites for emerging and established entrepreneurs.
The incubator is currently home to several local businesses, including:
- Daniela De Art 3, founded by Daniela Salgado
- The House of Juls, founded by Juliett Mills Lutterodt
- She Biology Skin Care Co., founded by Chinenyem Nwadiugwu
- The Original Charleo Co., founded by Jaeron Holmes
“Charleston is a great place to live, work, and play,” said Ruth Jordan, Manager of the Small Business Enterprise and Entrepreneur Resource Center. “Palmetto Row Collectives serves as a vital catalyst, ensuring that local small businesses can thrive on King Street through accessible, affordable retail space and direct business development tools.”
Mayor William Cogswell joined the event alongside City leaders and partners, reinforcing the City’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and expanding opportunities for small businesses.
