In observance of Independence Day, the City of Charleston will close offices Friday, July 3rd and adjust select service schedules as outlined below.
City Services Over the Holiday Weekend:
Public Service:
- Collection will run on a normal schedule citywide, including Peninsula, Inner West Ashley, and James Island (City Crews); Johns Island and Outer West Ashley (Trident Waste); and Daniel Island and Cainhoy (Trident Waste).
Recreation:
- All recreation facilities will be closed on July 3rd, except for the Municipal Golf Course.
- On July 4th, the Municipal Golf Course and three pools — Herbert Hassel, MLK, and James Island Rec Center — will reopen. Tennis centers and other facilities will remain closed.
City Offices:
- All City Offices will be closed on Friday, July 3rd.
