The City of Charleston will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day. The following service and schedule changes will be in effect:
Garbage and Trash Collection
- City Crews (Peninsula, Inner West Ashley, James Island): One-day delay all week.
- Trident Waste (Johns Island, outer West Ashley): One-day delay; Friday routes move to Saturday (yard debris only). Bulk collection moves to the following Monday.
- Trident Waste (Daniel Island, Cainhoy): One-day delay Monday through Wednesday.
Recreation Facilities and Closures
- All City recreation facilities will be closed Sept. 7. The Charleston Municipal Golf Course will remain open.
