Point Hope Church, located at 3404 Turgot Lane in Mount Pleasant, is hosting a free event on Tuesday, Dec. 24 featuring a live nativity with dress-up costumes and animals. There will be a camel, donkey, and sheep for the perfect Christmas photo. Other activities include a bounce house and birthday cake-cutting for Jesus. The event starts at 1:00 p.m.
Immediately following the festivities will be the church's contemporary, family candlelight service at 3:00 p.m. They also offer a traditional service at 5:00 p.m. All are invited to attend.
Point Hope asks that you follow the sidewalk to access the rear lawn. Some activities are weather permitting. Overflow parking is available at the Park West Recreation Center. From there, follow the path around the pond which will lead you directly to the church.
