The Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System’s annual Veterans Day Parade will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, November 3rd and will include historic military vehicles, motorcycle groups, and Veteran’s service organization floats. This year’s parade Grand Marshal is Mrs. Valerie R. Anderson.
This is the 24th year the Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System is coordinating this celebratory Veterans Day parade with the City of Charleston.
The parade will kick-off at the corner of Market Street and East Bay Street with a welcome address from the Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System Director and CEO Scott Isaacks followed by remarks from a member of the Charleston City Government. After the remarks, the Laing Chorus will sing the national anthem and a C-17 Globemaster III will flyover from Joint Base Charleston.
Parade Route:
- Begins at Concord St. and Market St.
- Continues West on Market St. to East Bay St.
- Continues South on East Bay St. to Broad St.
- Continues West on Broad St.
- Ends at Colonial Lake
