For many people, physical therapy is something they think about only after surgery or a serious injury. Dr. Nathan Sanchy, DPT, believes that misconception keeps many active adults from seeking care until pain has already begun limiting the activities they enjoy.
Founded this year, Pinpoint PT is a concierge mobile physical therapy practice serving the Charleston area that delivers one-on-one care directly to patients at home, work, local gyms, parks and other convenient locations. By removing many of the barriers associated with traditional health care — including rigid schedules, travel time and rushed appointments — the practice is designed to make expert care more accessible for busy, active adults.
“I started Pinpoint PT because I saw too many people putting off care — not because they didn't want help, but because it didn't fit their lives,” Dr. Nathan said. “People are busy. They work, exercise, raise families and often ignore aches and pains until they become bigger problems. I wanted to create a practice that makes getting expert care simple while helping people stay active instead of waiting until they're injured.”
While many people associate physical therapy with postsurgical rehabilitation, Pinpoint PT focuses on helping active adults address pain, improve movement, prevent injuries and continue doing the activities they love. Whether it's shoulder pain during CrossFit, knee pain while running, back pain after golf or stiffness that limits everyday movement, the goal is to identify the underlying cause and help people move with confidence long before an injury sidelines them.
Beyond treating patients, Pinpoint PT is committed to bringing care into the community. Dr. Nathan partners with local gyms, fitness studios and businesses to host Recovery Pop-Ups featuring dry needling, cupping and movement-focused recovery services. The practice also offers complimentary mobility screenings and educational workshops designed to help people identify movement limitations before they become injuries.
“My hope is to change the conversation around physical therapy,” Dr. Nathan said. “It's not just about recovering after an injury. It's about helping people move better, feel better and live better.”
Pinpoint PT is currently accepting new patients throughout the Charleston area and is seeking additional partnerships with gyms, fitness studios, sports organizations, apartment communities, employers and other local businesses interested in hosting complimentary mobility screenings, Recovery Pop-Ups or educational workshops focused on injury prevention, movement and performance.
