Charleston Collegiate School (CCS) will host two informative sessions on the Education Scholarship Trust Fund (ESTF) program, offering parents and educators in the Charleston area an opportunity to learn about South Carolina’s new K–12 scholarship.
CCS, along with other local independent schools, has been approved by the South Carolina Department of Education to receive funds through the ESTF program. This program provides a pathway by which public funds may be directed toward private and independent school tuition for eligible students.
Event Details:
- Date: Wednesday, December 10, 2025
- Time Options: 8:10-9:10 AM and 6:00-7:00 PM
- Location: Charleston Collegiate School, 2024 Academy Road, Johns Island, SC 29455
The ESTF program provides up to $7,500 per year to help cover K-12 educational expenses for qualifying South Carolina students. Teshia McIver, an ESTF Implementation Coordinator from Palmetto Promise Institute, will be onsite to present an interactive overview of the program and answer questions about the application process, eligibility, and financial assistance.
This session is open to the public, including parents, educators, and current ESTF families. Attendees will gain insight into how the scholarship can support private school tuition and learn steps to apply or renew their ESTF award for the 2026-27 school year.
“Charleston Collegiate is excited to host this ESTF information session for families and educators,” said Andy Gyves, Head of School at Charleston Collegiate. “We hope this event provides clarity on the scholarship program and demonstrates how it can open new opportunities for students and families in our community.”
